Yesterday was Monday. It rained here…or at least it threatened to all day long…gloomy day.
Bad things happened on gloomy days when I was a kid. It seemed to always be a cloudy day.
Now as an adult, I get that gloomy feeling when the sun goes in, the clouds become dark, and rain is in the air.
Somewhere among all this gloom came a beautiful song just for the occasion:

I used to be sad on rainy days, sitting by the window, longing to get the sunshine back. Rainy days in the city can really get you down. When I became more interested in nature, I realised how fascinating weather can be and – cloudy days can be pretty inspiring.

On a more positive note, some cloudy days do bring sunshine into our lives if good things happen on a cloudy day 🙂

I love the smell of rain. When the clouds are dark and it is raining hard it makes me sleepy. We got 9 inches of rain from Hurricane Patricia. Most of it sunk right into the ground since it has been so dry in Texas.

In 1969 something happened to me that was disturbing. It was raining. I’ve been like this since then…a long, long time.
