Rainy days and Mondays…The Carpenters

Yesterday was Monday. It rained here…or at least it threatened to all day long…gloomy day.

Bad things happened on gloomy days when I was a kid. It seemed to always be a cloudy day.

Now as an adult, I get that gloomy feeling when the sun goes in, the clouds become dark, and rain is in the air.

Somewhere among all this gloom came a beautiful song just for the occasion:

  1. A great song. 🙂
I used to be sad on rainy days, sitting by the window, longing to get the sunshine back. Rainy days in the city can really get you down. When I became more interested in nature, I realised how fascinating weather can be and – cloudy days can be pretty inspiring.

  2. I love the smell of rain. When the clouds are dark and it is raining hard it makes me sleepy. We got 9 inches of rain from Hurricane Patricia. Most of it sunk right into the ground since it has been so dry in Texas.
