Texas on my mind

I love Texas I have lived here most of my life. It is one big state that takes forever to get out of when you start at the coastline and go to the panhandle.

Once you visit Texas you will come back again because it is just a friendly place to be. Winters are mild in Texas in comparison to many other states. The gulf coast areas barely have a winter at all.

If you want to see a beautiful area of Texas visit the hill country it is one of the best places to go. It is in the center of Texas. The beauty is all around you. You just have to take it all in. Dripping Springs, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Boerne, Gruene, Fredericksburg and Wimberley those are just a few of the towns that are really great.

Some of the Texas State Parks have some great cabins for rent they run about $130.00 per night, but they are so much better than staying in a hotel.

Texas State Parks

The smell of fresh air surrounds you and it is just you and nature. Clear your mind, go hiking down a trail, dip your toes in the river and sit back and relax. Take out your camera out and take a few pictures so you can remember you want to come back again. The beauty will be all around you the wildlife, nature it is just all part of Texas.

Let all your troubles leave your mind and get into that Texas State of Mind

  1. I spent three years in the Dallas area during the 1970’s. The one thing I found the most rewarding, was the open sky and all the stars. You don’t have flat land in many places. You don’t get to see a million stars at one time where I’ve lived…other than Texas 🙂
