Compassion

We all teach our children different life lessons.

How many children are truly taught compassion? This is a big life lesson that teaches so much value.

Compassion

1:  sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it

Children need to know there are many less fortunate in the world. Many children who do not even have shoes, clothes or food or a roof over their heads.

Many children do not think about the elderly person in a retirement home who has no one to visit them. Can you imagine how lonely they must be?

Every child should experience what it is like to give back and every child should learn compassion. This is one of life’s biggest lessons.

Everyone should go visit someone in a nursing home and take them a gift and offer them a hug. After all it might be the only hug they get during the holidays.

Stop and think about how you can give back to your community and teach your children to do the same.

A small gesture of compassion and love can make a big difference for someone else. Teach your children what compassion is so they can feel it in their hearts. They will learn by watching you.
