A requirement to be President

I think a requirement to be president of the United States should be that they have served in the United States military.

Maybe then they would realize the sacrifices these men and women make every single day.
Maybe then the military would get the funding they deserve.
Maybe then those who are serving our country can get a pay raise.
Maybe then the outdated bases would be updated.

Many of our military get to see their families 1 – 2 times a year. Often times this is because they lived more than 300 miles from their bases. They only get to go home on leave and not the long weekends.

Many of our service members work 60 hours a week and make less than minimum wage. We pay those who flip burgers more than our military. Something is very wrong with this picture.

We give away millions and billions of dollars every year to other countries, but we can not support those who are there to protect us.

Wake up America!  Let’s do something about spending money on other countries and NOT our own military. Those who protect us deserve better housing, better pay and we need to show them that we support them.            

We can do something about this.
